 Welcome to Corkey Kennels. We are
located in Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Mts. We have been hobby breeders of only Basset Hounds. We have devoted much time and effort over the years to this breed. In doing so
we have learned so much but in that we always realize how much more there is to learn. Our home
and kennel are nestled on ten acers of land in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mtns. We welcome visitors, especially if you are considering
adding one of our pups to your family. You are welcome to come and visit our dogs as many other people have done over the
years. God has given us the privilege of being able to be stewards over these wonderful animals and with that comes much
responsibility, which we take very seriously. "for every animal of the forest is mine,and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every
bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine" Psalm 50:10   |
WE ARE EXCITED TO BE IN THE SHOW RING WITH OUR BASSETS AND TO
HAVE THEM EVALUATED BY JUDGES ALL OVER THE EAST COAST AREA. AFTER 26 YEARS OF BREEDING, OUR BREEDING PROGRAM HAS PROVEN TO
MEET THE STANDARDS OF THE BREED IN CONFORMATION, TEMPERAMENT AND HEALTH.

achieved her champion title at the Warrenton Kennel Club, in Bred By Exhibitor classes. So thankful to judge Ms. Sharol Candace
Way. It has been fun showing this baby and watching her grow in the show world and finishing at 11 months old. Show photo
to come.  Jorja, Corkey's U Got The Look, picked up 2 majors at the Harvest Cluster shows in Lebanon TN earning her 9 points. Oct 13, 2023, at the Basset Hound Club of America show, we thank judge Richard Nance for giving her WB for a 5 point major. Sunday, at the Tri Star KC, we thank judge Mr Robert Frost for giving her WB for another 4 point major. Jorja is 11 months old and now only needs 2 points left to be a champion.

Silver Champion, GCHS Corkey's Gino's Living La Bella Vita Italinana!! BHCA Nationals 2022, Rockford IL. We had a great time at the Nationals this year. Our GCHB Corkey's
Gino's Living La Bella Vita Italiana took Select Dog at the Greater Minneapolis Saint Paul Basset Hound Club under judge Sanda
Launey Oct 2nd, making him a Silver Champion now. Many thanks to his superb handler, Alexis Schlott, and to his owners Louise
and Pete Ross!  New Champion at 8 months old! Ch Corkey’s Queen Bee Quintessa gets the major win,WB, earning her Champion title along with getting BOB also
at the North Georgia Kennel Club show in TN under judge Eugene Blake  Corkey's Pretty Little Girl Like You-Spooky - gets a 4 point WB major at the Penn Ridge Kennel Club
show in Doswell Aug 14th under JUDGE: Suzanne Dillin.  New Champion!! Corkey's Mountain Music - Uncle Sam finish his champion title at 15 months old.  Corkey's Queen Bee Quintessa, gets a 5 pt major at her
first weekend of showing at 6 months old at the Roanoke Kennel Club show. She got Reserve Winners the first day.  Corkey's Mountain Music - Sam. Baby Sam picked up his first point at the Skyline Kennel Club under
judge Dr. Carol White-moser with best of winners.  Corkey's Pretty Little
Girl Like You, Spooky got BIS (Best In Show) at the puppy show in Doswell Va under judge Brian Meyer beating multiple puppy
breeds!! Along with getting group 1 on Saturday and Sunday!  Corkey's Kinda Kooky Kookie who got OS (Best of Opposite) Friday under Judge Mrs. Christine Calcinari
for a 5 pt major and then on Sunday Select Bitch for a 4 pt major under judge Ann Roth at the Doswell show in Va. now only
needing 1 pt for her Grand Champion Title!  NEW CHAMPION!!
CORKEY'S KINDA KOOKY KOOKIE - Kookie finished her title under judge Bryan Martin at
just 15 months old.  Corkey's Kinda Kooky Kookie - Four point major under judge Mr James J Mitchell at our specialty
show in Northern Va, for our little girl, Kookie, at 14 months old, needing only 2 minor pts to finish her champ title!  Corkey's King Of The Road - 9 months old, gets his first major at his first weekend of showing! Thank

Club show, Salem Va under judge Mr Jon R Cole! Corkey's Ooh La La Low Down gets BW (Best of Winners) under
judge Ms. Bonnie Linnell Clarke, at the Virginia Kennel Club show. 
TWO NEW CHAMPIONS IN THE SAME DAY.
Both Corkey's Favorite White Necco and Corkey's Salted Caramel Creeana, both at 17 months
old, got their champion titles on the same day at the Potomac Hound Kennel Club shows.

Club show under judge Mr. David R. Miller, 8 months old. Matt Hess her handler  August 2 - 6, 2017 - Corkey's Salted Caramel Creeana got BOB(Best of Breed) Wednesday at the James
River Kennel Club under Dr Robert A. Indeglia for a 1 pt win, Friday at the Roanoke Kennel Club show she got BW(Best of Winners)
under judge Mrs Judy Webb for a 2 pt win. Saturday at the Roanoke show she got BW again under judge Mr. Charles Olvis for
a 1 pt win and then today at the New River Valley Kennel Club she got W(Winners Bitch) under judge Mr. Elliott B. Weiss for
another 1 pt win. So little 11 month old Creeana picked up 5 pts this weekend towards her Champion title. Almost there!  Our 9 month old, Corkey's Favorite White Necco, gets Winners Bitch and Best of Opposit Sex for a
3 pt major at the Detroit Kennel Club in Novi Michigan Sat. June 24th. Many thanks to her handler Matt Hess!  Corkey's Salted Caramel Creeana, gets her first
major, 9 months old, with Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex at the Mattaponi Kennel Club show under
judge Mr. Douglas A. Johnson, today. So proud of her! 
New Champion! Ch Franbar's Lady Killer also know as Frank, got his champion title March 11th at the Shenandoah Valley Kennel Club show under judge David R Miller. Frank is 17 months old.

NEW CHAMPION!! Our latest champion - Ch Corkey's Low Down Ida! Ida needed only 3 minor pts to champion and she picked that up June 11th at the Skyline Kennel Club show under judge Molly Martin. She not only got the Winners Bitch but she also went Best of Opposite in the Best of Breed. : )
